   I consider myself to be an intermediate piano player. Could you please give me a a brief breakdown on the contents of each volume of the AKMS series. i don’t want to purchase the wrong volume, Thank you

      Thanks for stopping by. I would love to help you reach your musical goals.

      Right now there are 4 options (You can see the specials for this month here:
      1) BEGINNER (Reg.$39.99/mth): For those who have little to no musical experience or for those with experience that really want to see music in its simplest form. Also if you can’t play simple things like Major Scales and Major Chords with ease, you have to start here. A proper Foundation is crucial to musical success.

      2) INTERMEDIATE (Reg.$59.99/mth): For those who have experience and can play all their Major Scales, Major Chords and Minor Chords with ease in all 12 keys. Basically this is everyone who can’t play by ear or play everything they know in all 12 keys with ease. In this level we cover; Playing in Any Key, Playing By Ear, Knowing Why, When, What, Where and How Chords Are Used, Finding The Key of A Song, How To Arrange and Embellish Any Song, and more.

      3) ADVANCED (Reg. $97/mth): Only for those who have completed my AKMS Intermediate Membership Level or who have completed the AKMS at home version (16 CD + 3 Booklet or MP3/PDF). In this level we get real advanced and more style specific. However if you haven’t completed the prior levels, the simplicity of playing advanced piano will go right over your head.

      When I originally started selling my AKMS course back in 2002, I made each Volume optional. The challenge with this was that many people thought my levels were equivalent to the traditional levels. Therefore they would say, well I’ve been playing for 10 years and can’t play in all 12 keys comfortably, however I’ll bypass Volumes 1-3 and start with Volume 4 “Chords” because I just want to know what chords you are playing and how to play more advanced. The challenge with this mindset was that they weren’t able to do the things that I claimed they would be. AKMS is about changing your mindset and the way you look and understand music. Once that’s accomplished, you will be amazed at what you will be able to do.

      I guarantee that everyone can play by ear and in every key with ease, however there is a condition. The condition is, they have to complete every exercise in AKMS. The good news is 100% of the people who complete Volumes 1-3 are able to play in every key and by ear. Therefore, unfortunately I do not sell AKMS individually.

      In my in person teaching, these levels aren’t optional and results are always 100%. So a few years ago, I changed this to my online presence to guarantee that my online students will have everything they need to be musically successful. I always recommend, even if you know something already, just still go through it. You may realize that you were looking at something way too complex.

   Hi Robert!
   wow!I have to admit that I was very skeptical at the beginning about start this program from scratch. I have been playing since I was 7 and now I am 39 years old. I know all my numbers and I play in all 12 keys but I did not know that I have a problem. Even though that I have been playing in all 12 keys, sometimes I can not remember the numbers. If a musician as me for numbers when I have being busy at the piano in church service I block myself. Your program is helping to remember every number in every single with ease. I already complete the foundation and now I am working on Cd 2 week 2. Thanks.

Even though you have experience and may know certain things, the foundation exercises work on some very Advanced skills but are disguised as simplicity.    I was cruising through the system when I realized I had not played the chords with my three melodies. So I went back to see what I missed.Initially the chords where rather challenging and have now become second nature. I am loving this system, I am playing songs with both hands, I adore Indicator notes ,I know what chords to use with the melodies where to place them and why. I love it!     The last 9 months has been quite hectic has I began Vol 2 and being away for nearly 4 months from my piano has not made it any easier however finally……I have completed Vol2 CD1.
    Tomorrow, I start with Vol2 CD2.
    I have never enjoyed practicing as much as this ever in my life of wanting to play the piano…Thanks to you I am getting there.
