   Hi Robert, I what’s the difference between SPECIAL #2 AKMS Membership Option & SPECIAL #3 AKMS Membership Option in terms of cost? I see over a period of 3 months I’ll be paying the same amount of money with ” SPECIAL #3 AKMS Membership Option ” and also I will have 12 months access to access instead of 24 months for the same price.
   Can you change this marketing approach where you charge less and the user gets less access? The difference between special 2 and 3 in terms of cost is nothing. please let me know what you can do.

      The difference between SPECIAL #2 and SPECIAL #3 is;
      SPECIAL #2
      – is a 3 payment option for 1 year of Access + the Full Download 16 MP3 + 3 PDF Booklet Version. After 1 year the monthly tuition will be applied if you decide to remain an AKMS Member.

      SPECIAL #3
      – is a One-Time payment option for 2 years of Access + the FULL Download 16 MP3 + 3 PDF Booklet Version. After 2 years the monthly tuition will be applied if you decide to remain an AKMS Member.
      – This option is also discounted only for those who take advantage of it during this 7 day Re-Launch opening.

      Both options are investments and the difference is like buying a house in full or paying a mortgage. The goal is to own the home, however those who want to take advantage of a better option without payments get an extra deal.

      In terms of changing this marketing approach, this is the one I’ve chosen at this time. The Any Key Music System is a lot different from other courses claiming to teach how to play advanced piano by ear. The difference is like a specialty university versus a high school program. Actually I could charge a lot more, but I don’t won’t people to be focussing whether or not they can pay for their play by ear education. AKMS takes about 2 years to complete it, so I want their focus to be on learn.
      Also, 100% of the people who weren’t able to continue in the monthly options for AKMS expressed that the reason was financial.
      Also, many people always ask if there is an option where they are not billed monthly.

   Hello Robert, thanks for the explanations. I can’t pay with a credit card while you the credit card options showing under each course level (special). I am getting paypal option. How can I make a payment with a credit card ? Let me know, thx.

      Hi Junior,
      That’s a great question that I get regularly. Payment method.

      As of right now we only use Paypal because of it’s fraud protection for both customers and us. They process major Credit Cards as displayed above, however you may have to create an account. I can assure you that Paypal is a very reputable company and 100% safe to use.

      What they do is set up your credit card with them so that you don’t have to input your credit card details on a 3rd party site to purchase something online. Once again that protects you from hackers (tech guys that can steal your online information) through a security and verification process. It also protects Any Key Music from fraud purchases.

      So please don’t be alarmed, Paypal is safe. It rarely happens, but look out for those fraud emails from hackers who try to impersonate Paypal and ask you to give your account info. The authorized Paypal will always address you by the name on the account and they will never ask you for your account details through email.

   A bit about myself… I have never had any piano lessons, and all my (limited) knowledge so far is from self-study, Internet videos, and I do feel that the normal piano courses, especially the sight-reading ones, are hard to learn for me. I tried reading some books with no progress. In the end, I went down the “play-by-ear” route, learned chords and stuff, and right now, I can play some songs on the piano, straight from my head, with NO sheet music (with sheet music it’s slower for me). The problem is I’d do better with all white keys in C Key, naturally, and maybe F and G. But with more black keys coming in, I will get lost. Also, I cannot play that fast (the slower, the more listenable XD ) and may slip a few times, and my left hand cannot play more than basic 4-count or arpeggio rhythm triads. I am looking for a way to “level up” but most courses are either parroting or sheet music. But I know there is a way to go without all those and eventually I can just play a song from the piano, just as I can sing it from my mouth, and in any of the 12 keys. I have seen people doing it, like concert guys, some of the youtube tutorial guys that are teaching parrotly (follow what he does) but I know they know how to do it, some impromptu band members, and I see you do it! So my search led to a few websites and… AKMS!! I don’t necessarily want to be a “genius player” with lots of cool tricks and spices, like the talented featured pianists or jazz specialists…, although if the road is open of course I would probably pursue it. As long as I can listen to a song and play it well enough, I would be happy.

   Now, I have some questions… What about finger training? Is it included in the course? Let’s say I finish the “language” part of AKMS and understand all concepts, and I can pin-point the keys to play on the piano easily… will that automatically make my piano-playing better and faster? Or are those 2 skills separate and I would still need to do finger drills, develop “both hand independence”, that sort of thing… And when I go through the course and practice, will I develop relative pitch? And do you think my goal is achievable?

   Hi Josh,

   I really appreciate you taking the time to share your musical journey up until this point. I got to let you know, you are in a good place. You know exactly what your goals are and you know what exactly you are looking for in terms of a method to help you.

   Congrats on getting this far on your own doing it the hard way. I’m glad that you can see that even though the internet, books, videos ands other courses are showing people a lot of things, that doesn’t equate to learning. I call that “Illusional Ear Methods”; however I kind of like your description better, “Parroting”, that’s a good one. The truth is, telling someone what to say doesn’t mean they understand what they’re saying. Hence everybody always looking for a tutorial to show the next hot song.

   Now you mentioned that you are figuring out things by ear and playing in C, F and G. That’s a great start to your musical foundation. However, now we have to solidify your Foundation by sealing up all the cracks that may be there because you weren’t taught the true Foundation. This is nothing against you, but many things online have to sell you on the special licks, runs and chords so that you will believe that the course is working. They do that rather than focussing on the most important parts; which is to understand how you got there. Once we deal with how you look at and understand music, you will see your playing reach another level (truly a “Level Up” in your playing).

   In AKMS you’re going to see that even though you have modest goals of just being able to play songs that you like well by ear and in Any Key, a byproduct will be that you will be able to play any other style; including advance styles like Jazz. Will it be overnight? No, but if you devote 1 full year to AKMS, you’ll be very happy with what you can do. If you devote 2 years, that second year will now take you to the very advanced concepts of such styles as Jazz. However by that time, it wouldn’t seem harder than a simple semitone. And the best part is, you would be able to do all of this in ANY KEY with ease.

   I tell people all the time, Playing music By Ear is very simple, but you have to understand the Principles of the language of music. I tell all new AKMS Members, you have to approach AKMS with an open mind and temporarily forget what you know about music so that I can re-program you. Once that’s done, your musical eyes will be open.

   To answer your questions:

   Q. What about finger training? Is it included in the course?
   A. Yes. However AKMS teaches fingering based upon understanding how they were created and why they work. This is a total different approach than memorizing them. Here’s a clip of how it’s taught in AKMS:

   Q. Let’s say I finish the “language” part of AKMS and understand all concepts, and I can pin-point the keys to play on the piano easily… will that automatically make my piano-playing better and faster?
   A. Definitely. However you have to follow a systematic approach; just like getting a baby to run. They don’t start running. They first learn that they have legs (AKMS Vol.1); then they learn how to crawl (AKMS Vol.2); then they learn how to walk (AKMS Vol.3) and then they learn how to run (AKMS Vol.4). If you now want to go to the next level of higher performance similar to running at an Olympic level; that’s my AKMS Advanced level.

   Q. Are those 2 skills separate and I would still need to do finger drills, develop “both hand independence”, that sort of thing…
   A. Training for fingers and musical independence is systematically built into AKMS. As long as you don’t skip or bypass an exercise, this will be developed at the right time in your musical development.

   Q. When I go through the course and practice, will I develop relative pitch?
   A. YES you will develop relative pitch and the ability to identify everything you hear in 12 keys at once (It may seem far fetched right now, but you’ll see this in real life by the time you complete Vol.1, 2 and 3). I don’t teach Perfect Pitch because I don’t have it, and it hasn’t stopped me or my AKMS students from playing piano by ear or any song in any style we decide. If you check the Wall of Achievers, you’ll find people who are at those levels excited about this new skill.

   Q. And do you think my goal is achievable?
   A. I may be biased, but I know your goals are achievable if you follow the Any Key Music System in its entirety. Actually 100% of the people who at least complete AKMS Volumes 1, 2 and 3 are able to play by ear and in Any Key with ease. however you don’t want to stop there, you may want to learn how to RUN.

      Those Specials will go away once it expires, unless there’s some type of extension (For. ex. if many people asked to extend it to Friday because they get paid on that day. It’s hard for me to turn down people who are really serious about reaching their musical goals.)

   That’s great news that you are practicing some of the things I shared. Remember to try and do everything in Every Key. I know it’s easier said than done, but it will be easier once I take you through all the exercises in AKMs.

   So to answer your question, once you become an AKMS Member you’ll be first directed to download the 16 CD + 3 Booklet Course. After that, it’s time to get to work and getting results by completing everything in AKMS. You could follow the recommended schedule or follow the schedule at your own pace (those with experience go a lot faster through the levels).

   The 6 training videos were just quick tastes of the thinking behind AKMS. There are much more exercises, audios and video training that contributes and guarantees your musical success. However I always highly recommend that a new AKMS Member approach AKMS like a beginner and start at Vol.1 CD1. Even if you know all the basics already. There are little things that need to be developed in the Foundation levels, that are HUGE pieces to enable you to play music at a very advanced level with ease.

   Thanks for your question. With All 3 special options you get the FULL Vol.1 to 4 AKMS Course, however you will only have access to the extra Video training in 2nd and 3rd option. This course does contain the 1st level of “Routes” (which most people would be happy with). However, it doesn’t include the further levels of “Routes”. “Routes” will take the rest of your life to Master once you understand them. That’s why I have another section just for “Routes”.

   I have been playing for about 8 years. I am what may be considered an intermediate player. I can read music, can play some classical, some pop, some jazz but am not what I consider accomplished where I can just sit at the piano and play “stuff” effortlessly. I know my scales reasonable well, my chords, my families chords, various common chord progressions, etc …

   What would you suggest ?
